College Prep Academics and Character Development
While Covenant Academy is a college preparatory academics program with rigorous academics and character development, we believe that preparing students to find their joy and hope in Christ is ultimately our greatest task. Covenant Academy is committed to preparing college worthy disciples of Christ. We are consistently focused on discipleship both in the classroom and at home!
Academic development at Covenant Academy begins in Elementary and continues with Middle School and High School up to 10th grade. We find that the University-Model® School prepares students exceptionally well for a transition into a college dual-enrollment model after completing 10th grade.
Our students consistently score above the national average. We credit this to our engaging and challenging academic program, talented teachers and the structure of our University-Model® School. Students at Covenant Academy develop the ability to learn independently with three scheduled days in class and two days at home . Most importantly they learn the value and reward of diligent work, responsibility, honesty, and respect for authority.
Lifelong Learners
At Covenant Academy we desire your student to develop a love for learning! Through programs like R.E.A.D (Read, Explore And Discover) learning comes alive in the classroom. We attend several field trips a year designed to bring a new level of understanding to topics studied throughout the school year. Over the past few years we’ve taken field trips to Kennedy Space Center, Mote Marine Aquarium, Bok Towers -“Math in the Garden”, The Ringling Museum, the Holy Land (Orlando), State Capitol, our local fire departments, post offices and many others!
Tomorrow’s Leaders
In addition, our Middle school and High School students have the opportunity to participate in the very highly esteemed Teen PACT program. This is a developing program that allows students to have an in-depth understanding of the legislative and judicial system. Students develop critical thinking skills, strong communication skills and are equipped to positively influence their community for years to come.
While Covenant Academy is a college preparatory program focused on academic excellence, we believe that preparing students to find their joy and hope in Christ is ultimately our greatest task. We want students leaving us prepared and equipped in mind and spirit to face the challenges of their generation and lead others to the hope they themselves have found.
Glorifying God Through Fine Art
We love to see our students glorifying God in their God given gifts and talents! While many of our students are already involved in local dance, theatre, and sports in the community, we are proud to offer an introduction to fine art with both music and art classes.
